Typically senior photos and TCU college graduation photos have a “look.” The people who hire me for senior photos and college graduation photos are usually not seeking that look. They want something unique. Editorial style. This student found my 120 film and 35 mm film photography portfolio and asked me to create portraits at TCU on film. When she sent the email, I was absolutely slammed with corporate photography and headshots from the fall, but I would NEVER miss an opportunity to shoot film. The evening we did these photos in the TCU Frog Fountain, it was about 45 degrees. She’s the real MVP. I loved that she brought her friend in for a few photos on the sign. These images were shot on Portra 800 and Cinestill 800T with medium format and 35mm cameras. Since then, other students have called. They like this look. That’s the thing about photography, everyone sees differently. I love when people love what they see in my work. I’ve shot so much film through the years, and it’s my favorite medium. If you are a graduating high school or college senior and would like to document the milestone with some creative photography, I’d love to help.
