Make an excellent first impression with an engaging modern professional headshot. Our headshot photography style is clean, modern, and genuine. As a Dallas Fort Worth corporate portrait and headshot photographer, Amber Shumake has created thousands of headshots for individuals, small businesses, and corporations. Her clients are diverse and serve a variety of industries, and her photos reflect that range. Across the board, her signature portraits reveal the essence of who you are with an emphasis on bright eyes, authentic expressions, and a killer jawline.

Planning

Prior to your session, we discuss the lighting style, backdrop, and composition that best suits your industry needs as well as the tone you're seeking to convey. You'll receive corresponding recommendations on hair, makeup, ideal wardrobe and accessories. It's rare for a person to look forward to being photographed for a headshot. With over ten years experience photographing everyday people (very few models), we understand that you don't know what to do with your hands. You don't need to practice or apologize for feeling awkward or nervous.

Portrait Experience

We work efficiently to put you at ease and provide skillful and constant direction about how to pose and elicit authentic expressions. We tether the camera to a computer providing you with the ability to access and proof your images in real-time. We discuss any specific editing considerations and requests in order to ensure your satisfaction.

Post-Processing

We color correct and retouch every image at an editorial level, meaning it's perfected for print and web media. This includes evening out skin tone, resurfacing skin and blemishes, brightening eyes, whitening teeth, and filling or softening lines. Additionally, we crop photos to work across multiple platforms for maximum functionality.

Pricing

Studio headshot sessions are $289 + tax, which includes one image of your choice and editorial level retouching as well as the commercial license to utilize the image to elevate your online presence. For many people who need one excellent image for a business card, website or LinkedIn, that is sufficient. If you'd like more than one image, additional looks are possible at your session, and you can purchase additional images that you love at $125 per image or in packages at a reduced rate.

Scheduling

We photograph people in our Fort Worth studio Monday to Friday. Individual sessions can be booked HERE. If you'd like us to bring the studio to your office or to scope a unique location for an environmental portrait, request a custom quote for your team HERE.

Hair and Makeup

If you'd like to schedule to have your hair styled prior to your photo session, we recommend: Kayden Grey Hair. If he is booked, you might try the Clean Blow Dry Bar at Restore + Revive. And, if they're booked, there's always the Drybar or your personal hair stylist. For makeup, we love Kari Does Makeup who uses clean products and airbrushed foundation for a fresh faced look. She's next door to Kayden Grey Hair in Phenix Suites about 3 miles from the photography studio, and together they've helped countless clients feel camera ready since 2016. Additionally, we love House of Tesla Hair and Makeup who will provide both hair and makeup services on location.
